Activities indicated with an asterisk (*) require advance signup plus an additional fee beyond meeting registration.

TUESDAY:

  • Meeting registration open (7am-8pm)
  • Elevator Speech Training for Students (5-6pm)
  • Welcome Reception – First chance to meet and network with professionals – We will play a networking game! (6:30-8:30pm)

WEDNESDAY:

  • Breakfast Roundtable (Starts promptly at 7:30am) *
  • Visit the Student Affairs table in the Exhibit Hall – especially if any time you have questions!
  • Publishing Papers and Peer Review Workshop (8-10am)
  • How *Not* to Give a Scientific Presentation (12:30-1:30pm)
  • Concurrent Sessions! Attend at least one, if not more, concurrent sessions on topics that interest you. Feel free to switch sessions between presenters. (1:30 – 5:30pm)
  • Job Interview Skills Workshop (2:30-3:45pm)
  • Resume Workshop: A Beginner’s Guide: The Basics of a Resume, C.V., and Interview Skills (4-6pm)
  • Student Mixer-  An opportunity for all students to come together in a relaxed environment to meet, network and share experiences. Drink tickets will be handed out to students so arrive on time before they run out!  (6-7pm)
  • Members Banquet/Awards (7-10pm)*

THURSDAY:

  • Breakfast Social (7-8am)*
  • Concurrent Sessions (8am – 12pm)
  • Resume Workshop:  Advanced Resume, C.V., and Interview Skills (10am-12pm)
  • Chapter Meetings – Meet professionals who live near you (12-1:30pm)
  • Plenary Session: Death And Taxas: Extinction and Speciation During the Anthropocene
     (1:30-3pm)
  • Member Engagement Committee Meetings (3:15 – 4:15pm)
  • Poster Viewing – see what other wildlife students and professionals are researching at the Poster Session (7-9pm)

FRIDAY:

  • Breakfast Social (7-8am)*
  • Concurrent Sessions (8am – 12:30pm)
  • Resume Critiques (8am-12pm)
  • Wildlife Career Symposium (9-11am)
  • Job Interview Panel (11:15am – 12:15pm)
